C1-T1 Fusion in 1 Surgery Any info?

Hi all,

I am being recommended for a level 7 cervical fusion and trying to find info about this being done all at once isn't easy. Everyone who has all these fused did so in multiple surgeries.
I've searched posts & can't find any with level 7.

Is there anyone who did this all in 1 surgery?
How did they your doc do it?
Was it successful?
What am I in for?

I'm no stranger to neck & back pain. In fact I'm fused L1-S1, have disc degeneration, Rheumatoid arthritis, spondylitis, fibromyalgia & ankylosing spondylitis has been tossed around too. In fact surgeon thought I'd do neck before lumbar, but playing with the neck has always been the iffier procedure with more risks. Well now the risks seem greater with the additional involvement of ruptured discs, left arm paralysis, occipital neuropathy, radiculopathy, severe pain, facial pain, numbness, etc.

Im trying to wrap my brain around all the how's involved to pull this off successfully or if I'm going to be disabled and unable to return to work.

Thanks for any help.

What few medical journals I could find were mixed.

Have to wonder how close level 4 fusions line up with mine. Any thoughts? Anyone?
