Questions Post Op 7 weeks

I had my L5-S1 fusion November 23. Before my surgery I had low back pain, pain in my left leg with weakness. I had some issues with incontince but nothing major. It was just when I tried to lift something or not making it to the bathroom in time I was unable to hold it for too long. I just turned 39 this month. I'm almost 2 months post op and I've never felt SO bad in my life. I now have major pain in both legs and the incontince has gotten worse. I had an MRI yesterday and he had said he didn't see anything that was causing these issues and sent me to a urologist but not until March. Has anyone experienced anything like this and does it get better in time?

  • I have that issue! Does it hurt you hand too? When I have go pee I get a sharp pain in my hand that gets worse til I go! Ive had 3 fusions from l10-S1 and am getting my C3-C6 fused next month. Its been 4 years for me since my last low back fusion and I really never got alot better. I am able to walk a lil bit more but the pain in my legs etc got worse. I am hoping it goes away but I highly doubt it after this long. But you are still fresh. I heard it takes up to 2 years to feel better. So you will feel better I guarantee it
