Need understanding

I've had crippling, chronic lower back pain for 12 years now, since I was 10. I've lost my life to this pain. But the worst thing is the lack of understanding from my family. They firmly believe in "pulling yourself up by the bootstraps" and keep going. But I'm shaking in pain, clumsily tripping around like a drunk person from pain, and I just want to lay down. And according to them everything I do causes the pain. It has to be my fault. I sleep odd hours, I lay down too much, I'm not active enough. Instead of recognizing these things are results of pain they consider it the cause. I'm at fault for the worst part of my life, which has already caused me one suicide attempt and one back surgery (a second in a month), thousands of medical tests, hundreds of absent school days, and overwhelming depression and feeling of loss of control. But I can't leave my family because of this also, because I need someone to tend to me after surgery and help me pay these medical bills.
