I m a 43 year male IT professional and suffering from cervical spondilosis. From last 3 years I m having symptoms of minor balance problem. When I referred to doctor he after inspecting cervical X-ray said me that my cervical spine is having lot of wear and tear and because of this I may have to undergo spine surgery.
Recently again I consulted my doctor for the same minor balance problem I m facing and now with ringing bell sensation in ears, heaviness in backside of my head and dizziness . He suggested a MRI of Cervical spine and after seeing it he diagnosed that my Cervical spine is having a lot of problem and the spinal cord is getting compressed and I may require to undergo a surgery soon. The balance problem and heaviness in head is now managed because I m using a neck collar as advised by doctor during working on PC.
I still don't have major symptoms like pain, weakness and numbness in my hand or feet. What I suffer only is minor balance problem and back pain sometimes. I m confused whether am I a right candidate for surgery or I can still postpone the surgery?
