Surgery Monday! What do you wish you knew?

Hello everyone. I have just visited the message boards on this site for the first time today, and look forward to your knowledge & support.

I am scheduled for surgery Monday, an anterior/posterior lumbar fusion with instrumentation, and decompression. I'm trying to be as prepared as possible for the recovery period, and would like to know what those of you who have had similar surgeries would have liked to know ahead of time. I am thinking of practical things, like clothing, setting up the home to make things easier, etc. Please, no horror stories about the pain, I'm nervous enough.

Ladies, can you advise me about the kind of bra I might find most comfortable? Being "above average" I will not be comfortable going without. Is a front-hook easier to cope with in combination with a brace?

Thanks for your help.
