  • I am so sorry to hear of all of the GI problems that you are haveing on top of fusion! I have not had a fusion but I do know that they can take a long time to recover from. Please check out the back surgery section as I know there are tons of people there that have had fusions and I know that they will be glad to talk to you. Btw- Welcome to the forum and I will look forward to seeing you around.
  • :) hi and welcome to the forum! i see this is your first post. we are her to offer you support and answer what questions we can. i am so sorry to hear you are having stomach problems. and still having problems with your fusion is a disappointment. please look around and make yourself at home. good luck! Jenny :)
  • hi and welcome hun,
your in the right spot. but like painintheback said the spinal surgery section might get you more personal experiences.
i also have belly problems. but nothing that affects my legs.
iv had issues with my legs before my fusion from a fall down the stairs 2xs. no, i did not get pushed my leg gave out.

now 11 months out of surgery i cannot walk more then about 3 mintues my legs start to cramp, sharp pain, u name it its there. i end up screaming!!!! i put them up and they go numb and tingle.
anyways i did not fuse. so the doc thinks it might be that.
but i also have a servere calicified herniation at T1. but no one will touch that until bladder issues arise.
so im off to surgery again to do it all over with new parts in sept. im HOPING this will take the pain away in the legs.
the only thing that showed non fusion was a CT scan. xrays all looked good. the report itself said solid bone fusion on the left, weird the pics showed nothing at all.

what type of tests have they done on you????
i did not think non fusion could cause so much pain since your screwed together with metal but hey i guees it can.

we are here to support you in any way we can and give you all our personal experiences. of course we are not drs but are a shoulder to lean on.

    hang in there hun i feel your pain!!! >:D< >:D< >:D< >:D<
