Severe heel pain during hamstring stretch
Stretching my hamstrings is a MUST for me daily. Lately I'm having severe heel pain during that stretch. I have never had this pain before. It also hurts sometimes when I step in it "wrong"? This is happening in my R foot which also suffers form permanent nerve damage. Bone spur maybe? Disc? I am fused from L4-S1. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

L4/5 discectomy 11/98,disc decompression surgery 10/01 (failed),C5/6 fusion 2/02,L4/5&L5/S1 discectomy 4/02,C6/7 fusion 4/04, L4/5 discectomy 4/05(failed)diagnosed with permanent nerve damage,2 level lumbar fusion 1/08,C4/5 fusion 1/09 and too many epidurhal/ nerve blocks to count. Surgeon said I have 2 more fusions in my future.

I don't have lumbar spine problems but I am currently suffering from plantar faciaitis which is also giving me heal pain. I'm performing various stretches, massage w/tennis ball and use a frozen water bottle to ice the area. I'm just mentioning this as another possibility for you. Have you run it by your doctor yet?
