Swollen ankles and legs

For the past 3 weeks or so my R ankle has been very swollen. I have had an ultrasound to rule out a blood clot. I have also had an XRay of my ankle that showed swelling (surprise) and a small heel spur. I am having a lot of pain throughout my leg. It is now starting on my left leg. My PCP gave me a water pill. My Ortho Surgeon told me I sprained my ankle, even though I didnt fall or have any injury. He said it was because my knee is weakened from the arthritis; so I favor it,and therefore injured it. Has anyone else experienced these sort of symptoms? And TIRED!...WOW this is the worse it has been. In fact, up to now it has taken me at least 10 tries to wrtie this! My head bobs down so much. I was on Lyrica for about a week and talk about tired!!!!! I came off of it and the sleepiness is still there. Has experienced any ill effects on Lyrica?

Any advice would be INDCREDIBLY appreciated!!!

Lyrica

Howdy Bankerbabe, I have been on Lyrica for now 4 days. 150mg 2x a day. I don't get tired per say, but "buzzy." I was told that would wear off! Other than that it has been very good with tackling my nerve pain issues. That is the only drug I am taking.

When I was taking Neproxin I had swelling of the hands and feet! I stopped it immediately, and after a few days most of the swelling was gone. Within about 2 weeks all of it was gone. IF you are on multiple meds, might be an interaction? My docs think it didn't get along with my Toprol or I have now developed allergies to NSAIDS! I hope you feel better soon. Take care!!!

Lyrica

Hello,

I am new to posting so I hope I don't mess this up. I just wanted to tell you I have had Fibromyalgia for about 5 years. I have every treatment I can think of! However, Lyrica has been my saving grace. I also take 150mg 2x a day. Without it I have severe pain in my legs, feet and knees.

Hope you feel better soon!

Howdy!!!!

Kind of like you, Lyrica (not buzzy anymore!!!) is great!! I go to work and I can't take it - pain is 6 on an average! I didn't go in today because it was so bad. My boss "seems" to understand. I am in process of federal disability retirement - should go through fairly fast. I was told by several in chat that 'after a few days, the buzzy goes away'...they were RIill won't drive on it. I am going to *try* and go to work Monday...sigh

Fibro - yeah megga nerves there! I am so glad that Lyrica is good for you as well!!! Please keep me posted!!! Take care...love Lyrica!!! (ps.. weight gain..yep..happening!! )
