QUOTE - Function to include all or parts of a previous post into the post that you are making. This function is also automatically set when you respond to Private Messages.
How to use:
When you are posting to a previous post, just click on
Quote at the bottom right of the post.
That will include the entire post and add it to your post.
It will be enclosed in a Shadow box to distinguish it from your post.
This function is automatic, you do not have to do anything.
You can also select what part of the person's previous post you want to include. This requires manual intervention

Been waiting for this function! If I want to quote someone, will it post directly under that box, or go to the bottom of the page in a new comment?
What I mean is, will it work the same as reply? I think replies get lost in the middle of the thread. If there are already 25 comments, and I reply to one in the middle, I think my reply is lost to people who have already read everything there, and go straight to the bottom.
Does that make sense?

I think that editing the quote function may be confusing to some people. If we only want to quote a paragraph, do we need to manually type in html code?

If I quote the original post, it goes to the bottom, but if I quote to a comment (ladybug) it goes under that post like a reply?

It might just take a little time to get comfortable using Quote. Older members (again, not again, but time on site)
would be familiar with Quote, because it was used very often.
To try to make it simple:
Quote - When you hit the quote item, it will take the ENTIRE quote that was in the previous post and included it inside a shadow box in your post.
You can decide where you want to position it, before or after your comments. Generally, it would be before.
Now for selective quotes, just enclose the quote tags within the text that you want to be quoted.
I know it sounds simple, but you really have to do it a few times and then it makes much more sense.
