Mods Authorities etc. Question

I am new here but finding spammy posts quite often ( which I know forums are hit with ).

I have been clicking on the flag this post and sending a message about the spam post to the mods here.

Is this the correct way to do things?

Is it helpful to you all?

Or am I being a pest sending the info to you ?

Ms. Humpty Dumpty Took a great fall and all the Drs and surgeons could not put her back together again.

After my fall I started to fall apart. L1-L2-L3-L4 - S1 & S2 gone. ( full herniation )Spinal stenosis, spinal arthritis, degenerative disk, scoliosis.
The spacers in your back are gone/going, spinal nerve damage.
Spinal spurs. Both knee caps & both hips have degenerative bone disease, arthritis and bone spurs.
No surgeries as Drs. don't think it will help and may make things worse.
Age 47 - Here to find & offer support.

PEST PEST!!!

Nah - just kidding. I don't see the flagged posts, (at least I don't think I do) - maybe it goes to the "administrators"?

But, definitely yeah - keep on flagging. We catch most of them, but some do get through.

Thanks for your help with this!!!

No - your not a pest - that

No - your not a pest - that is what to do - in most cases, they dont answer, but just take action - To answer every PM about a spammer = would cost mods/Auth too much time, since they have to look after stuff all over the map of things and issues.

Spam

You can send a PM regarding a spam or other illegal post to any mod or authority member and we'll take care of it.

I'm really glad you made this post because we can't catch everything, so to have the members' help in spotting and reporting them is greatly appreciated.

Always feel free to report anything that doesnt seem right

When you use the Flag as Offensive, that goes into a queue for the Moderators and Admin to review. But honestly, we dont get into that that often. There was a problem one time in the data base and we have over 1000 items to review, but we cant do anything with them.

Personally, making a post about your concern and/or sending a message to anyone on the Moderator or Authority team will bring attention to it.

Thanks Other then this

Thanks Smile

Other then this thread ( now lol ) is there a list of mods and such anywhere? So I can PM one? If yes then are all people who are listed as a mod etc active here?

I would not want you all to respond to my flaged posts - spend your time catching the spammers and all the other work you all do here Wink

Flags?

Can we just turn this button off then. It's misleading. I've been using it when I see SPAM because I thought it worked.

If we are doing the PM a mod. Can we just get a @spam, @mod, @admin shortcut that sends it to a queue that does work. Then you folks can pick them off as you have time?

I know SPAM is annoying and not the top of the list.

Can I just cuss the Spammer out in the thread then it'll get reported quicker? I'm uneducated so it should be alright. LOL.....

tsk tsk tsk

Come on Z, you know no cussing allowed here...

I actually read the queue for where the flagged posts go and if editing needs to be done, I will go in and make those changes. Often by the time I get there someone else has already edited it. Typically we will review the recent posts and catch these on our own. Keep flagging, and if you want quicker action, please feel free to PM any of us. We all spend a lot of time trying to keep the boards clean. Smile

oh well seemed like a fun idea...

Not to worry Cindy. I won't fill up the post with cussing. I just thought the button actually worked. I usually don't go back looking to see. If figure you have plenty to do and will get to it when you can.
