I notice folks have info on their surgery etc, as a kind of signature or footnote. How do I get to that screen? THANKS

Along the top you should have a tab that says My Account. (It is a light blue bar below the big brownish/orange one and it says forum home, my account,post topic, etc.)
Click My Account
that will bring up your profile. Along the top there will be an "edit" button. Click that and then scroll down to see the place to write your signature information.
