Popup, fake authorization?

I just submitted a post and when it posted I got a popup asking for authorization, user name and password.

This happened after the post appeared.
using Firefox that automatically updates to newest version, thought I should pass this on.

I know just enough about this kind of stuff to know I don't know enough! Big Grin

Howdy Wrambler,

That's weird. I've been using Firefox for years. Did you check to see if you did receive the latest update? They had one last week I think. Hopefully it was just a fluke. Take care. Smile

yeah

I'm up to date, 100%.
I only came to mention it in case no one at admin knew it or saw it happen.

It had be some flakes attempt at fishing through the browser, not sure how that stuff works. I guess it could have come through Exploder, but I did not even have any Exploder windows open.

You're not loosing dude...

it happened to me too. I saw it a couple of times and just laughed it off. Figured it was a programmer bug on the page or something. I just clicked X on the box and moved on. It's gone now.

Has nothing to do with Mozilla. Brenda is right though. There was an update to Firefox recently. If you have auto-updates on then it just happens as you open and close the browser. Leave it that way. Mozilla applies updates to Firefox for good reason and are very conscientious.

I will look into this more when I get back from vacation

Personally, I have never experienced this... But there are so many variables that I need to check it out...
