I played Volleyball and Basketball when I was in middle and high school. I love diving, fishing, swimming, anything that has to do with the ocean. Where is your Seahawk's helmet bigcat?
I grew up in Canada and I played all three of these sports all through high school. I played volleyball in University. I represented the province of Ontario for baseball and volleyball - I was on the Ontario team at the Canada Games! Those were the glory days - and I am definately paying for them now!
Drs say all my sports plus bad genes is where all my spine problems come from!
Dancing, cheerleading, swimming, volleyball and was in karate when I got in my accident! Am a good dancer and can still shake it when I feel good! My neck and upper back are the problems, not my booty, so I shake it when I can!
I love football, I have watched it since I was 10-11 years old, so for about 20 years now! Can't do any play calling, but my guy friends call me for fantasy football advice and say I know more than they do, lol! Am a little behind though because I was working on Sundays last season but not this season!! I can't wait for the season to start and am a HUGE Saints fan, I've been one since I was a kiddie! I also root for the Ragin' Cajuns, am alum but their football sucks, and LSU second! GEAUX SAINTS!!
Yea Paul, had already bought my son a KX85 and was looking at KX250F for myself before back surgeries. Failed surgery now with extruded graft in spinal canal. Only screws holding my back up and I don't trust them. Also, if graft moves...well, I don't even want to think about that.
That is the kid. If you keep up with Super/Motocross, he will be next Ricky Carmichael.
Just had the 85 Moto rebuilt (he burned-up the crank bearing) and had to do a little fine tuning on it this week.
I would like to be able to introduce him in racing, but w/back it is impossible.
I love my Cubbies....Z u come to Illinois you can go to a game at Wrigley with me...then u will know why I LOVE MY CUBBIES!! No better place on Earth!!

I don't know if you guys like Olympic sports but I was glued to my TV watching the Olympic trials! It was just awesome to see these kids making their dreams of representing the USA come true! I can not wait till 08-08-08 starts!
The seattle super sonics will be leaving, clay bennett,is a theif,it is a sad day for this city,i hate claay bennett, and the sucky sonic are losers,,good luck in oklohoma.they have losers on the team....
In my younger days it was FOOTBALL. I was a football fanatic. Played for about 8 seasons,4 in High School, was all county but when I tried out for College Football, boy was that an eye opening! BASEBALL was my next favorite. First Base and Pitcher.
Then as the years went by, it was Softball. Played in several leagues until about the 3rd surgery and I realized I just couldnt do what I did before, so hung up the spikes.
I little golf, but most for riding in the golf cart and having a few beers along the way.
HOCKEY - never played it, but had my son in it from age 6 to about 20. So, we've been in and out of most North England rinks many times.

Rugby Tri-Nations kicks off this weekend. This is arguably the pinnacle of world rugby after the rugby world cup. Played for between New Zealand, Australia and South Africa - consistently the top three rugby playing nations in the world (OK, ...waiting for the squeals from England rugby supporters)...
This Saturday sees the New Zealand All Blacks play South Africa in the first match of the series. C'mon All Blacks!

I thought about that...then i figured i'd just drink alot of beer before i get there (can't afford to get a buzz at the ballpark!!) then i might take a blanket to sit on...hopefully we will stand alot catching homerun balls....The CUBS homerun balls of course!!
My favorote sports:
football---JETS
LaCrosse---love to watch college or pro
TaeKwon do -- love to train/ but now just watch my kids compete (both older boys compete internationally)
MMA & UFC -- Gotta love the octogon
Hockey ---DEVILS
Its only because I'm such a delicate lady that I enjoy the calmer sports.
My first love was gymnastics. I did it in school, I did it after school and in the park and by the pool. Now I wonder if maybe that is the reason for my crocked spine. Actually, I read in one article that gymnasts often end up with spondilolysthesis. So maybe that is how i got it?
Other than that, I played some tennis, swam, and skied both alpine and cross-country, but I guess I cannot blame my spine troubles on any of these.

One thing I can say for sure is how far overall safety has been incorporated into youth sports.
Sports for every man's son (sorry gals, not many girls were allowed to play in sports back then). It was a fun time era, lots of family oriented gathering around sports. I remember going to see my father play in softball, my Aunts/Uncles/cousins where there, it picnic time!
I played Baseball and Football. The emphasis on baseball was to learn the sport and try to play it the best you could. In Football (High school level) it was more about winning, but that was not the only thing. The biggest draw back then was about conditioning and safety.
- We were told to lift as much weights and as fast as we can and do that every day (I still have a bunch of stretch marks to show)
- Nothing about cardiac conditioning or diet or health. I know in my small area of Long Island, in my 4 years there were over 7 high school football players that died during practices.
- Equipment was marginal. My helmet didnt fit me correctly, they had to order a special helmet, but that took 6 games into a season to get.
- Approach to the game. I was told to take my head and smash it into my opponent. Well, I had one time many head to head tackles. I ranked 2nd in the state with 13 concussions over 4 years
25 years ago
My playing days were over, but I coached in many different youth sports. Since I was a victim of improper safety, I stressed that and I also stressed fairness and sportsmanship.
The biggest problems back then were coaches who tried to live their childhood dreams through the kids without respect to the kids. And of course fanatical parents
10 years ago to present
- Safety and Conditioning are key. I visited my high school once and was amazed at the training room. It looked like a professional teams workout room.
Sports are fun, they should be fun all the way until its time that you do it for a living
