Annular tear

I had an annular tear in my L5-S1 herniated disc and tear. It resolved on it's own in 18 months. Sending you a PM with more info. http://www.spine-health.com/information/annular-tear Charry

no surgery

The herniated disc or tear wasn't seen on my second MRI but still have pain from Degenerative Disc Disease and could be nerve issues because of space narrowing between discs. My PM Dr. says there must still be disc compression, irritation because of sciatica to my leg and have received some injections that have helped though not completely.

I asked the Neurosurgeon if he could do a discogram to see if the tear was there still and he said no so trying my best to do conservative treatments. I wish I would have got surgery at L5-S1 when it was there but no one wanted to do surgery but that's my experience only. With my herniated disc and tear there was direct contact with my L5 exiting nerve so it was thought that's what was causing my pain at first. Now with the same pain they think it's DDD. Long story about me, hope you find relief soon. Take care. Charry
