Please Read. I need some help....

Hello - I have been going through very intense pain for 8 months now and I found out that I have a few building disk in my spine. I went to a chiro and he never helped me. I ended up getting a cortisone shot in my back a week ago and never felt any better from it. My Dr told me I may need more that one to help, so I am going in Nov 10 for the next one. I guess I wanted to know if anyone has had more relief from two or three shots than just one? Please let me know. Thanks!
Beckie

Yes, They don't always get it right where it needs to be. You can have 3 in a 1 yr. time frame.
I do hope the Dr. giving them is a spinal specialist. If not, maybe you should see one. As for Chiros., they only hurt my bulging disks and made my pain worse. But that is just my personal experience.
And welcome to Spine Health. I'm sorry no one answered you question faster. Sometimes, rarely, that happens.
Good luck, Jim

I wonder

if he will be injecting other areas? Some times the epidurals are used as a diagnostic tool. If you get an injection in a certain area and it stops or helps the pain that it can be a sure sign that is where your pain is coming from. I personally have only received temporary relief from these injections but it was useful in finding out exactly where my pain was coming from. Hope that helps.

Hi Beckie

I've had more relief from my second injection although for me it only lasted for a short while. Good luck with your next injection. Charry
