Hello there!!!
Today i started a diet ,which is going to last one month exactly. The holw summer i dieted and i got to weight exactly as much as i wanted, and therefore i felt completely comfrortable with my body. Everything fitted and i was actually looking forward to waking up every day, knowing that i have such a nice body .But september came, so i had to stop the diet to focus on other things. I came to realise, that dieting is ridiculously easy, compaired with maintaining your body weight while eating little food .I couldnt deal with it ,so i ate everything you can possibly imagine. It got kind of scary at one point. So now, i have gained all the weight i lost, my confidence is as low as can be, and i dont fit into any of my clothes, once again. I just feel like all my summer efforts were worthless. So today i started a diet, smoother this time, with more calories, and i am hoping that in one month's time, i will have lost maybe 2 kilos, to feel better about me. I dont really know why i am telling you this, i just read that you said ''If there is ever anything that I can do for any one of you or for the group then please just let me know and I will be more than happy to do what I can.'' ,so i wanted to share. I need all the support i can get. If you have time, please tell me some usuful things from your experience, that will get me through the ''difficult'' times of the diet.
Thanks a lot!
Hi there,

it sounds like you have given the situation some thought and are ready to begin
I am a big believer in monitoring, food intake (journaling) and progress (weight/sizes/or inches).
I like to keep a written journal of what I eat, that helps me stay on track and balanced
as for monitoring progress I think everyone needs to find something that helps them watch their progress, it may be belt notches, the scale, measuring tape..
whatever helps you stay on track.
I wish you great success and steady progress toward your goal! support is here if you need it
Take care,
Bonnie

A major health problem and a new epidemic that is sweeping across many nations, that is obesity. It is said that it is a serious health condition that if not given proper attention may result to other health problems.
Prevention is better than medication. It is the key to any health-related issue.
How could we really prevent Obesity? What should we do to avoid this chronic disease?
Here are some tips:
• Keep an active body
The most common way that could help prevent obesity is having an active lifestyle. A simple walking on stairs and running errands is a good way of being active as well as going to a gym and socializing with other like-minded people.
• Have a healthy diet
Eat right, that is the most effective way to prevent obesity. Having a balanced diet would do the trick. The FDA recommends each person to take about 2000 calories per day in foods.
• Eat only when you are hungry
Most likely, naturally thin people eat only when they are hungry. Eat only the right amount when your body signals tell you to do so.
• Drink Plenty of water
An average person is recommended to take 8-10 glasses of water each day. Water cleanses impurities and detoxifies body.
• Monitor your weight
Invest for a scale at home to keep track of your weight. If you have noticed that you are starting to gain weight, take the appropriate actions to lose some. You can do this on a weekly basis.
• Have a Medical Physical
Doctors recommend average adults to take yearly medical physical examinations to prevent any health complications. By knowing any a an early stage, doctors can treat you accordingly
It isn't just adults. It's getting worse now with kids. We have a generation of fat kids. They eat fast food for their diet. Exercise consists of text messages and holding the Playstation joystick.
Most of it is really common sense. But when little Johnny comes home. He's 20lbs overweight. He's getting a lecture from mom and dad. They're closer to 40lbs overweight.,,, Anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
Make it a family affair. Get more of that improved diet as the family meals. Get the parents and kids off the computers. Go walking. It's good for everyone. Get yourself and your kids signed up for some kind of physical activity.
I agree with ZO6 as there's also apparently a condition spreading amongst the younger generation, called, 'Texting Thumb', aka 'SMS Thumb' or 'iPod Thumb Syndrome'. I find it hard to believe the advice given for the latter is, to seek professional help!
Well, all speak about diets and forget what are the main reasons for children obesity. I think we forget already what is healthy food. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX It is a bit funny but in general it is nice. Our children should spend less time playing computer games and watching TV but should play outdoors instead. Besides, let them eat natural healthy food. And the problem of children obesity will eliminate.
To grown ups I can advise not to drink anything for at least half an hour after eating. Try it. And soon you'll feel results.
