Hi my spiney friends

Hi my spiney friends.

I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry I haven't been around much the last five or so months and will begin coming back regularly again now. Life has been very busy and I've been trying to deal with a lot, but think I've got my schedule down to a manageable level now.

It's difficult when your life changes so drastically, as you all know, and needed to work out and adjust to a new routine. I think I've got it all figured out now and will be around to help more.

Thanks for your patience and I look forward to reading your posts and offering up what I can to help again.

Best to you all and I'll be seeing you around the forums.
Cathie

Hi Cathie!! Glad to hear

Hi Cathie!! Glad to hear you're feeling better, settled and have got into the swing of things. Like Alex said, don't feel sorry! We have to take care of ourselves first. How are the toes doing?

Thanks peeps

My toes still hurt, actually. I'm still in a boot and will see the ortho specialist next Tuesday so I'll know exactly what the deal is then.

The peeps in my dept. are fighting having to wear steel-toed boots/shoes and are suggesting a safety meeting once a month instead. Before you know it we'll be wearing hardhats, too. LOL

I really doubt we'll have to wear the shoes - they're very expensive and the company would have to shell out some big bucks to them for us. I really don't think they'll want to do that. This is the first WC injury in my area in 20 years (yeah, has to be the newbie).

Hi Cathie ...

Good to hear that you are going to be around more often again. I have missed you.

I totally understand that life gets busy and then there is less time to spend on here. Happens to me too. Smile

Many places you have to wear

Many places you have to wear steel toe boots for safety and its a must on factory construction. Company usualy dont pay for it but you write it off as an expense on your taxes. No diferent then uniforms and so on. I never wore them only cause i was mostly always self employed and those boots are heavy for my liking for my feet. I still have a pair of steel toe boots somewhere i might have wore 1 time. But climbing scaflings in them no way i would use them on my jobs. Only gym shoes with good traction.

I wonder if a cross dresser can write off dresses on taxes. Hmmmmmmmmm

Hard hat? Starting to sound like a Y M C A video song village people. Is tight shorts and hard hat and boots allowed? If it is i might aply for a job there.
