Finally Surgery was Approved

I got the call this afternoon. My NS office said I was at the top of the list for cancellations. I should have a surgery date soon.

I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel- I hoe it doesn't blow out again this time. I want to get this behind me and start healing already.

Finally

Julie,

That is such good news that you can finally start forward again in place of being stuck in neutral gear. Hopefully everything will come together for you now. Take care and keep us posted on your surgery date.

Hi Julie

Well, finally. There should be a saying around here somewhere about how spineys are the only ones who throw parties when they get to have surgery.

It's such a long road sometimes, and you've had your share of trials and tribulations.

I so look forward to the day it happens and you KNOW it is and then the first post-op post being in the combination of heaven and not-so-heaven, being post surgery but dealing with recovery. But I can tell you along with many others that I'd rather be in recovery than any other part of this whole terrible process.

Congratulations and don't spare the details as things move along.
Cath

Too funny. How SAD is

Too funny. How SAD is that!..... Only a fellow spiney... Smile

I just want to have this behind me. I am not looking forward to recovery (it's like looking forward to climbing a mountain in a bad storm with a broken leg and hungry) however I am ready to be on the road home. I start to panic just a little with the thought of living the rest of my life like this- wasting another year- wasting another summer..... I live for summer (literally) anyone living in Anchorage Alaska does.

Hopefully by June I will be out hiking and enjoying the out doors. That's my goal- feel better physically by June.
