Looking for others with widespread chronic myofascial pain

Hello everyone! I have had chronic pain for just over 8 years. I have the following pain issues:
Widespread Chronic Myofascial Pain (CMP)DDD - 9 bulging/herniated discs (at last MRI)Stenosis,Spondylosis,Peripheral NeuropathyI have an amazing PM doc, who I have seen for the past 7 years and I thank God for him every day. I am married to an amazing, supportive man for 20+ years,  2 daughters (One still with us, aged 24 and one with the angels, would be 8 years old) and am just trying to live the best and most productive life that I can. My current med regimine is:Oxycontin 20mg. 4x/dayNorco 10/325mg. up to 6/daySoma 350mg. 3x/dayXanax .5mg. as needed for anxiety and as supplemental Muscle Relaxer, occasionally, PRNI've had a bit of difficulty finding others with CMP on any other forums and would appreciate hearing from any who have this condition. I also suffer from back and spine issues, so you'll surely see me posting in several forums. I look forward to getting to know the members here and finding out each person's story and personal journey with chronic pain. Please bear with me, as I learn to navigate this site. Looks similar to another forum that I participate in and hopefully, I should pick this one up quickly. I'll probably be doing more reading than posting for a bit, so that I can get aquainted with this forum and the people here.I wish you all peace and comfort from the pain.  Blessings, Mitzi

Thanks, Everyone!

Sorry I haven't been back on in a few days. My ISP had some tech difficulties and we just got back on line.

Hopefully, I'll have the time to post a bit of my history/story, one of these days. I am no expert, but I have an excellent PM doc, who takes this disease very seriously. (The AMA has recently upgraded it from a syndrome to a disease, by the way) I'd be honored and happy to answer any questions that I can.

The really sad thing is that so many in the medical community think of Myofascial Pain as one of the "wastebasket" diagnosis'. It is a very real, very painful thing to live with. I do OK, because of a lot of factors that I mentioned in my origional post. A supportive family and a great doc are worth their weight in gold.

I'll be reading and probably posting a bit more in the near future. I have felt very welcomed by all of you, and look forward to more interaction. Thanks again. Blessings and Peace, Mitzi
