Prior to surg I had almost no use of left arm. I had on 11/2/09 ACD C4 - C-7. VBR C-5-6 strut graft & plate with posterior fusion.
Recovery has been a (*&*(&. My neck burns I have long incision marks frot and back I am still on pain meds and still have to avoid chasing the pain.
The 6 days in the hospital were misery could never get ahead of the pain.

I am so sorry that you are experiencing so much post op pain. The recovery really varies from person to person.
The pain meds that you are on seem fairly mild to be taking so soon after surgery. You may want to talk to your doc about getting something a little bit stronger. There are many that believe if you do not keep the pain under control post op it can really hinder and slow the healing process.
Please take a look at the surgery section and you will find others that have had the same surgery. I hope that you find some relief soon and please keep us posted with your progress.
I am in no way associated with the medical field. Anything that I post comes from personal experience only.
