Whenever any joins an online forum there are some accepted standards on what the initial posts should be like. We have much more flexibility here than other sites, but we also would like to see some specifics being posted by new members.
DO
- List your current medical condition
- Identify the Diagnostic tests you have had and their results
- Post what your doctor(s) recommendations are
- List all the medications you are currently using
- Identify all treatments that you are currently going through
- When in doubt contact one of the Moderators
- Read the FAQ!
- Read the Forum Rules!
DONT
- Post in CAPITAL letters.
- Do not make lengthy posts. Try to summarize your condition and ask any questions.
- Do not make all of your post into one paragraph. Break it up so that it is easier to read.
- Do NOT ask for any readings/opinions/etc on any of your diagnostic tests.
- Do not identify any specific doctor
- Make duplicate posts
- Violate any Forum Rules
This will make it easier for you to come on board and will also make it easier for other members to respond. Many times I have seen new members post with pages of information and then about 2 hours later they make another post complaining that no one responded. Keep in mind, simple is easier.
