Greetings all,
Cervical issues here with bulges, herniation, stenosis and DJD. Primary issues are between C5 and C7. I'm 41.
Symptoms started 12/2007. Had successful PT therapy for some numbness and tingling in my right arm. It lasted about 2 months before I slipped on a step (I'm such a klutz) and now I'm into acute pain territory. At first we thought it was just a torn shoulder muscle, but pain is getting worse despite PT; entrapment is suspected. Finally got some Rx meds last week so I can get some sleep (hooray!!), and I'm preparing for the possibility of epidural cortisone treatment. Going for a pain mgmt consult later in the week.
I'm really glad I found this site and forum, I have already found a lot of helpful information. Thanks for your support in advance!
Jill

Lotsa info here for those of us with cervical issues. How did your problems begin, Jill? Accident or just "arrived one day" like some of us? Keep us posted and welcome--Mazy
Thanks for the warm welcome!
To answer Mazy, Basically it "just arrived" one day. My arm was pins and needles that continued for a few months. After visiting the neurologist and and orthopedist I went to PT. I learned correct posture and did strength training which fixed me at the time (with exception to my pointer finger, which has stayed numb).
I guess I aggravated everything when I fell. Now it's aching and pain in every part of my right arm, from my shoulder to my fingers.
Trying to stay positive
Welcome to spine-health....
be impeccable with your word..
Yes, mine "just arrived" one day earlier this year via arm and shoulder pain. We may have some of the same problems. Sounds like you are willing to try conservative treatment--a good thing! I hope you get good results! It's a struggle to stay positive sometimes, but we are here for each other--to share and learn. Good luck, and please keep us posted.--Mazy
