pain clinic
i recently moved to another state,have new health insurance ect.. went to a pain clinic was given med's, helped somewhat, my next appt was for shots. was taken in by the dr had a floroscopic x-ray,of my cervical spine. after he seen what was there, he told me i had alot of soft tissue damage,and don't let anyone else drive needles into your neck.previous pain managment dr was giving me facet injections and trigger points... it, helped .. just scared me beacause it seemed like he did not want to try to help with my pain or maybe he was afraid?

-anterior cervical fusion c5 c6 1999, revision surgery 2007 -07/07 anterior and posterior cervical fusion c3 thru c7.two rods and 12 screws-- donor bone in front,right rotator cuff torn &clavicle decompression 12/07, 04/07 ac joint problems,ddd,chronic neck and upper back pain,, 01/09 facet joint disease--3/10 neuropathic pain- migraine headaches, i just keep asking myself --- how old am i-- --- does it ever go away

Good to hear you found a new PM Dr. Maybe he wants the soft tissue to heal before you get more injections? I guess you could ask how long it takes for it to get better or get a 2nd opinion to see what they say. Are you using a massage machine or TENS to help in the meantime? Take care and hope the soft tissue swelling gets better soon. Charry
Any answers I have is not medical advice only a Doctor can help you with that. Just sharing my personal experience as a fellow Spine Health member only. Mild DDD of complete lumbar area with recent healing of L5-S1 HD and annular tear.Leg &foot weakness nerve compression L4-L5.Mod. disc changes C5-C7 nerve impingement sore elbow and numb hand. Sept. 2011 MRI L4-L5 disc bulge and L5 facet joint and narrowing. Meds-Oxycontin 80mg,Cymbalta,Lyrica, Flexeril,Naproxen,Serax. Platinum Infrared heating pad. ER and Oncology trained and Cardiology RN on Disability. Keep the faith.
i just use heat, i have a massage thing, i does not help that much,i know my last mri was 1 year ago, and my old pain managment dr told me that i had alot of scar tissue,and my spinal nerves were amess, along with my facet joints are diseased. thanks for the reply
