I use to take celebrex due to my insurance not paying for it and it being pretty costly my Dr just switched me ( tonight ) to Etodolac 400 mg 3 x daily PRN.
So I am curious what others think of this drug?
My husband works the midnight shift - so I won't start a new med unless he is around in event of a really bad reaction to it. So I won't be starting this new med until tomorrow.
The celebrex worked wonderfully for me and I am quite sad to have to stop it
I sure hope this new one does as well...

I had to look it up , since it is not one that I have seen mentioned previously. It appears to be similiar to other NSAIDS, and is used to relieve mild to moderate pain levels.
If the celebrex helped, hopefully, this one will do as good a job for you. Good luck with it.

HI Sandi
Yes I seen that info too after looking it up - I am hoping someone here has used it and can share their experience with it...

I took this for a couple months in the Spring or Summer as we were trying to find meds that worked for me. I am pretty sensitive to medications and seem to suffer from side effects often, but I had NO side effects at all from Etodolac. If memory serves, I took the same dose you have been prescribed.
It did not help my pain, but no NSAIDs have.
Good luck! I hope it gives you good results w/ no side effects!

Meds: Norco and Flexeril
for quite some time. Off and on for years, then daily for several months. I took it with Vicoden/Norco and Flexeril. I didn't notice any unusual side effects.
I have now been switched to Mobic. The only reason is because I switched doctors when I moved states, and Mobic is her preferred anti inflammatory.
If you took it already I hope things went well!
