stopping Voltaren before surgery?

I was told to stop taking Voltaren, 7 days before surgery. Is that enough? Because the next day after I stopped taking it, I had blood taken from the vein in my arm and have a pretty good bruise from bleeding underneath the skin. I've never had such poor clotting before when getting a simple blood draw.

Anyone know more details about Voltaren and bleeding / surgery? How long does it stay in your system after quitting and how long until your blood gets back to normal?
