pain clinic vs pain dr

ok i admit it
my wife says i'm stupid but that is with 25 years of marriage
i admit that i am ignorant about some things such as disability. it seems the majority of people here are on some form of disabiltiy
but what really vexes me is is there a difference between pain clinics vs pain drs. it seems the majority of problems issues hostility etc is with pain clinics. i don't go to one or will i ever go to one. i go to a pain dr period. those in the know,
is there a difference between clinics and drs? why are there so many problems with clinics? it seems the majority of people here also go to clinics. does it have to do with being on disability? are you forced to go to a clinic. i would rather have a tooth extracted with out anasthesia and with a blow torch than go to a clinic. what is going on? my pain dr is great. he yells ocassionally but not at me. he gets angry at the people who try to scam him for meds and disability. so those in the know, please why is there so much hostility towards clinics and is there a difference?

4 back surgeries- 3 fusions, 1 laminectomy , i removal of metal from fusion, laser discetomy. i take 45 mg of oxycontin 4x's a day and 700 mics of fenatnyl lollipops 4x's a day. blood clot, tear of spine, lung collapse all after surgeries and all corrected. mri.s nerve test, discectomy and x-rays,

Only pain dr,s i know are

Only pain dr,s i know are who work there pain clinic, Not sure i understand what you mean,

Pain specialists run the pain clinics just as neuro office and ortho office run there specialty, There is nothing in between here in chicago land area,

I have like 5 or 6 pain clinics just around me who treat pain with injections, meds and so on, And i prety much realized they prety much do the same procedures because its all texbook. Meds, injections , if none work then scs and pain pump,

Some are just beter then others is why i am on my 4 th pain dr and i am much satisfied with this dr treatment and attitude then the other 3 dr,s

When i ended up taking my mom to this pain specialist with her stenosis that she recovered from without surgery, I talked to his nurses who worked for most of the other pain specialists in the area and they told me other clinics was like a mass production line and patient was treated as just a # and they highly recomended this dr,

This clinic does not over book to see 100 people in a few hours as the other clinics to where they are handing out scripts as if it was candy without even having any concern what the persons real issue is,

So here pain dr and pain clinic same diference!

L4 L5 disc replacement in 2004=causing nerve damage'Flexicore disc. 2006 fusion same level leaving adr in. Fusion did nothing to releive the nerve pain.Pain clinic=every injection procedure avalable inc,razadamy, ablation, nerve stimulater trial,morphine pump trial all failed. Pain can be described as burning pain in lower spine penetrating in to left buttock,down left leg. Refuse to take lyrica or nuorontin do to its side effect,Leaving me with norco,valume,and flexiril at night.Which these medications only help with the muscle aches and stiffnes does nothing for the nerve pain from the nerve damage sustained from the adr surgery.Coming up nov.19th 2009 Lami, and hardware removal from fusion,for hardware just causing more pain in other areas.Hardware block comfirmed hardware is also causing pain in diferent area aside from the severe nerve pain on left side.Emg showed some posible problem above surgery are at L3 L4.
