back, hip and foot pain

Hi,
I am a software professional. I have been suffering from lower back pain for last 3.6 years.
Now the pain is in upper back, lower back hips and in both foot. Mostly the pain seems like bone pain and muscle pain.
But sometimes i feel burning pain.
Recently i am diagnosed with MRI. In the report, it is mentioned like this "Diffuse disc bulge noted involving L4-5 inter-vertebral disc causing mild bilateral neural foramen narrowing " and i have osteopenia too.
Right now i am unable to sit for sometime and unable to stand for sometime.
and i am discomfort to sleep on my back.

Please let me know, what type of treatment should i take?
Thanks in advance..
Anil

you need to see a spinal consultant for a professional opinion ..in my opinion it looks like you may need surgery {but avoid if you can } good luck

How old are you?

How old are you?
What is the reason you had the surgery?
Were ovaries removed? If so, are you taking hormone replacement therapy?
If not do this:
Walking on flat surfaces doesn't require the 26 bones of the foot to move much; uneven surfaces (take a hike someday) actually massage the joints and hinges of the feet, mobilize the ankles, and cause differentiating movement to occur through all the calf muscles.

Try lots...do what feels good for you.

Hi there,

I have been experiencing chronic back pain for 6 years. I had surgery 5 years ago at the L4-5 level (microdiscectomy). It sounds like that might be something you need. Currently, I am waiting for back surgery this coming December...two disc fusions (L 4-5, L5-S1).

To cope with the pain I have tried so many things. Sometimes pain management is key...not looking for a cure. Things to try...
-acupuncture (This helps me the most!)
-cupping (my acupuncture doctor does this)
-yoga exercises
-pilates (for core strength)
-massage
-prolotherapy (I did this 8 -10times...it does get quite expensive though..but works)
-physiotherapy (only with a good physio!)

I hope you find out what works for you! It is key to find an excellent doctor to advocate for you. More importantly an excellent surgeon!
Cheers,
DJC
