Hi, yesterday I was scheduled for a long awaited lumbar injection. I can only get three times a year. For about 2 months I am in heaven. I look forward to them.
I have had about 6 of them in the doc office. They hurt but i can handle it. I know the relief they bring me.
Yesterday the injection hurt so bad, the Doctor stopped and said we would have to do it in the surgery center under sedation. He seemed pretty angry. I wish he had given me a few minutes to try to pull it together. I don't know why this one hurt so much more than the others. He didn't talk to me about it, he just walked out. There was different people assisting this time and they carried on during the procedure like I was not here. this same Doc does them all the time. Not the best bedside manner, but the injections work like a charm.
I feel like a big failure. I can tolerate alot of pain. I was also disappointed that I have to wait now till the end of the month. UGH. Has this happened to anyone else??
