Cervical Spinal Cord Stimulator Malfunction

Thank you for this opportunity to share, I am hoping to connect with anyone who may have had a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted at C1, C2, & C3, which malfunctioned resulting in Hypersensivity to electro/microwaves. The original implant functioned for approximately 4 months at which time it went bizerk and I experienced severe shocking thrioughout my body. It wasn't until several months later, while at Mayo Clinic in MN, I was informed of the "male" and "female" components not being correctly positioned. Not quite 4 months ago the entire system was removed. I experience electric-like burning to my face, arms, hands along with burning headaches and loud ringing, which I never had before this experience, The past week and a half I have the same sensations in my feet. I am watching to see if these flares are lessened by keeping the wireless router turned off at our home and making an effort to check out the use of wireless in any building/environment where I may be when the burning increases.

I know it sounds crazy.....but I believe I'm drawing a cause and effect. Other than contacting the Medtronic Rep (whom are all very courteous), any suggestions or ideas? The condition is recognized in other countries, but not here in the US. My concern is for my grandchildren as we become more wireless and technologically dependent.
.
Please reply if you have experienced something similar.

Spinal Cord Stimulator Malfunction

Hi Grace 2, I too have had a spinal cord stimulator malfunction I have it in my lower back and I had it for over a year working great for me relieving my pain about 40 % from a failed spinal fusion in my lower back. My stimulator suddenly went crazy also experienced severe shocking throughout my body this went on for at least 90 seconds I had no control of my arms or legs as I was being terribly shocked I dropped the controller and was unable to grab it because I couldn’t move my arms luckily my wife was there to help me when she picked up the controller to try turn it off the face of the controller had XXX across the screen. 911 was called because I was being so violently shocked luckily before they got there my wife was able to get it working and turned off when the paramedics go there they got there they explained to us they would not even know what to do in this case as they have not been trained in spinal cord stimulator . We went to the Doctor that put it in immediately after this happened requesting to be seen we were seen by him and the vendor and both of them say they have never seen this happen and pretty much dismissed it. I have not used the stimulator since this day this was by far the scariest thing that has ever happened I thought for sure I was going to die and am convinced if I was not in a public place and was alone I would have been shocked to death. Seen then I have been looking for anyone who has had this type of experience. I would like to speak with you further about this if you are willing if you could please email my wife at .
