I'm thinking you need to get a professional opinion, asap.
Just saying from my experience.

See Doctor

There are at least four different neck problems that can cause that. Some relatively minor. Go see a spine specialist, physiatrist or surgeon.

C3-C7
Severe DDD, Severe neural foraminal stenosis at 2 levels, moderate canal stenosis at 2 levels, significantly impaired left shoulder & arm function. Chronic moderate compression fracture at C6.

Get to a neuro right away!

Get to a neuro right away! This is what happened to me and I had sever spinal cord compression where any bump or fall would have severed my spinal cord.

I had something similar but

I had something similar but only on one side and I've just had the results, my pain started in my neck very bad had me laid up for 2 weeks solid during that time I felt a pain in my left arm and it traveled further down for a few days and stopped at the middle of my forearm, a couple of weeks later the pain subsided, I gave it a couple more weeks then went back to the gym and that's where I found my real problem, I had lost all strength to my left tricep and pec, I'm a pretty strong guy and I couldn't even lift 5kgs on my tricep, compared to the 30+ I could b4, so I went to the docs who ordered an MRI and referred me to a neurosurgeon when I got the results the doc said I do have a bit of degenerative bones around c6/c7 nothing too bad but it could b responsible for the loss of strength to my tricep but not to my pec as that's around c2/c3 I think he said what he put it down to is brachial neuritis which is quite uncommon the key indicator for it is pain then sudden loss of strength after the pain subsides, I've been told I should regain my strength between a few months to a year or so, it's been 6 months so far and it's coming back, just very slowly, so if the pain stops soon check for loss of strength in one or a few muscle groups, like someone said above there is a number of things it could be, and this is my case but if there's any similarities look up brachial neuritis. Hope this can be of help and your pain and recovery is too a minimum

Like the post above you need to be seen soon. I would want to be seen by a or tho or nuro SPINE surgeon.
There are a few issues that can cause this but in my spine journey my surgeon has talked to me about things being on both sides can and are generally cord related and problems on one side are most likely nerve issues. That is making it very simple and I know its not that simple but just a guide line

Here's to hope is just a bad muscle problem that is pulling on both sides.

Good that things are under way now ...

A CTmyelogram scan should show up what is going on. Have you had an MRI scan?
Good luck on 5th April and please come and let us know how you get on.
