Thursday, I was doing Marine Corps Martial Arts, and was shoulder thrown, landed on my back and right above my left butt cheek and a little closer to the spine I hit a steel toe boot. Now, when I press on the muscle that runs down the side of my spine, the left side, I get a really sharp, crippling pain in my upper left butt cheek!! Its really bad, walking and doing the simpliest task such as putting socks on and getting dressed bring me to a stand still! Sitting down and when Im in bed I have little to no discomfort. I went to the Urgent Care center after the accident occured, took x rays and the doc just said it sounds like a bruise, and since there are so many nerves in the lower back region pain like this can be normal?! I however think my pain tolerance is pretty high, and have never been through this kind of pain before. Is this really normal? Anything I should be worried about? They gave me some steroid anti-inflamitory, and a few other meds for pain and inflamation. I know its only been roughly 48 hours since the injury occured but kind of worried since Ive never experienced pain like this before..Any help would be nice! Thanks!
