numbness in heel and toes

It looks like I may have to live with the numbness in my heel and little toe. This is probably a problem some of you may have an answer for. What type of shoe minimizes the numb feeling when you walk? I just want to get off my feet because my heel bothers me so much. It is only 4 weeks post op and may get better, but until it does, can anyone recommend shoes?

Hi Sandy Nurse

SKETCHERS rock smiley I have several pairs because that's all I can wear. I have permanent nerve damage and have numbness/tingling/burning in my big toe and heel too. I love Sketchers because they have flats with a sneaker heal and they come in all kinds of styles and designs. Check out their website, you will fall in love smiley

Sketchers, Nike and New balance

I like sketchers as they have you walk on the middle of your foot. But new balance are good if they're a rocker shoe to help you walk the same. Sketchers have a little heel and the ones I have are slip ons so no laces to tie. Like Angie, my feet swell too so I bought a half size higher than the ones I used to wear. Take care. Chsrry

Heel support

I went to town today and bought 3 kinds of heel supports. The gel ones felt best in my clark's shoes. The shoe that feels best are actually my nurse shoes by Quarks. They are made of spongy foam and seem to help. Funny that I went out and bought all those inserts and had the best thing in my closet.
