Chronic pain between shoulder blades

My daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis at 11. At the time we were told she had a mild curve (17 degrees). We were also told that because she had already experienced a large growth spurt ( she had grown 5 inches within the last 12 months) that her curve was considered mild, and the normal protocol was to watch and monitor for progression. Additionally, we were told that her curve was unusual because it was a left thorasic curve, and it was also "short and sharp" or spread over a small area. My daughter has had chronic pain between her shoulder blades for 5 years. We have continued to monitor the curve, and she has been through numerous rounds of P.T., massage therapy, acupuncture, trigger point injections, and has been prescribed a variety of pain medication, but unfortunately nothing seems to help. She had a MRI in March of this year, and it showed that her curve had increased to 34 degrees, however XRAYS taken around the same time showed her curve at 28 degrees. I am frustrated and confused. As a parent, you want to be able to find solutions for your children, but I am finding that there does not seem to be an easy answer to this. Can anyone offer some advise on what our next steps should be? I am so glad that I found this forum. I am a firm believer that information is knowledge. Thank you.
