Hello all,
Can somebody traslate this (below) MRI report writeup in simple words to me...Thanks
•Straightening of cervical lordosis of muscle spasm
•Spondyltic changes of cervical vertebrae
•Altered signal intensity of c5-6 disc suggestive of degenerative changes. It's showed posterior and right para central and right postero-lateral herniation indenting the ventral subarchnoid space and encroaching upon right intervertebral foramen.
•C4-5 disc showed minimal posterior central protrusion abutting the ventral subarachnoid space.
•Normal signal intensity and heights of the other examined discs
•Normal signal intensity of the visualized part of the spine cord, thecal sac, and CSF signal.
•Normal craniocervical junction.
•No paraspinal mass lesion detected.
..how are you feeling? Do you have pain?
Your doctor would explain results of test and they are used to explain again if needed since painful life and concern takes up a lot of our concentration.
Don't hesitate to call and talk with nurse or doc.
My profile lists my spinal issues and other conditions that I navigate around daily.
Doing my best to be getting around and hanging on to this ride called life!
Thanks for reply Savage!
I had pain initially including tingling/numbness in right thumb but the same is now reduced, pain almost fully, numbness significantly.
However reduced strength of right arm is not restored yet.
Talked to Doc and understood that it'd take some time to recover fully. I just wanted to understand other's, people of same category, experinece.
