Hi, My name is Robin, I have been suffering with a Thorasic (mid back) disk problem and am getting ready to have a surgey called a "Thorasic X-lif" and am scared to death.
Is anyone out there who has has a Thorasis X'lif surgery. If you have, please if you could respond to this request, I would really appreciate it. I have been tols that this type of surgery is rare and I could really use a buddy right now to help teleive the anxiety and ask a couple of questions from someone who has gone through this surgery.
Thank you in advance!
Robin
Hi Robin and welcome.
I had to look up Xlif surgery. It appears to be a minimally invasive procedure. If it does the job without the need for a 14 inch incision, dislocate shoulder, remove rib, deflate lung, move heart, then it must be a good thing!
Please let us know how you get on. I'm sure there are many anxious potential candidates for t-spine surgery who would love to here your story.
Good luck
Mick
