Does anyone wish that they could take steroids forever???

Holy cow, I started another Medrol dose-pack yesterday and I feel like a new woman compared to the horrendous time I've been having, especially these last two weeks. I know that this isn't gonna last forever, but the respite is just oh-so-nice. Gonna enjoy it while it lasts....still taking my Aleve religiously every 12 hours...only needed two Zanaflex since Monday afternoon. Almost feel normal! Whew!

(Of course, my new numbness is still with me but I'm gonna let the NS tell me about that in two weeks, just nice to have this break from the pain.)

I feel the same way..

Everytime I get my methylprednisone pack I feel like I am walking on clouds, pain and pressure relieved. The doses usually starts helping by day four. I get 2 packs for 12 days at a time. Then I feel better for a couple of weeks, til the pain starts getting worse, and worse and I get function good enough, and it is time for another pack. It seems that this medicine is the only thing that helps my pain. I have tried all kinds of therapies and injections without relief. Unfortunately the side affects of prednisone can be bad if you continue using it longer periods of time. This is what my doctor tells me. I guess that is why she has me waiting in between doses.

Have a nice day, hugs to all!
