Neurological issues are back

with a vengeance.

Now I have rotating sensations that include: tingling, sharp pains, blow-torch burning, what I call "numby", prickling, throbbing pain and muscle twitches. Now these symptoms are bilateral from my toes up to my knees and into my thighs. When I lay down, my toes twitch and so does my left hamstring. Anybody have those spasms? What a mess! I think my L4/L5 is blown and I see a neurologist on the 5th of April if I can't move it up.

Have any of you had a Myelogram? Did it help your doc diagnose the problem?

If surgery is indicated, I'm going all out this time. I'm tired of wasting away and not living. I think I will push for ADR if only one disc is bad and ADR/Fusion hybrid if 2 need treated. I'll go out to LA for it.

I had it with a xray. It can show some thing that is missed by a ct or a mri. Also it can be used to see nerve damage. So dont worry about it.

Thanks. I will see what the neurologist thinks and hopefully have a test and get some answers. I am not opposed to a discogram (even though I know it will be painful) if that will rule out one thing or another. My symptoms are moving up my body and that is concerning me even more...

Anybody have any idea why I experience MORE tingling/twitching/numby stuff when laying down on my back as opposed to standing? Sitting is like cutting off the circulation to my feet,...wierd.

Hi Buckeyeback

I have similar issues check out my history by clicking on my name above the picture.
Also have a look at the post below and see if this sounds familiar.

Wow,...

you have been through utter hell looking at your medical history...I hope you are able to manage all your pain somehow.

My neurological issues extend to the top of my thighs and lower back. I don't think my pain originates from anywhere but my lower lumbar. Voltaren and Percocet help, but I can't be on that forever.

Thanks for asking and GL to you!

Have you looked

at restless leg syndrome?
I don't know much about it personally, but I have heard it mentioned a fair bit.

Yeah, I'm pretty aware of

Yeah, I'm pretty aware of what that is. I have a family member who has it and it doesn't sound very similar. I think my L4/L5 is just not able to keep it's rigid form anymore and is pressing on my nerves on both sides when weight bearing. I should get some answers soon when I meet with my neurologist.

Thanks for the suggestion.
