tingling sensation in the right leg, and mild weakness

I am 24 years old and of a lean build. 7 months ago, I got stuck in thigh deep snow after falling off the track while snoboarding. For coming out, I had to lift my legs very high, and take heavy steps as the hill was steep.

While doing that, I had a sharp pain in the right side of lower-back. There is a mild tingling sensation in the right leg since then. I also feel that the right leg is slightly weaker than the left one. There is a moderate(bearable) pain when bending or leaning to my left side.

This did not affect most of my normal activities(walking, sitting, standing, sleeping, and moderate hiking). I am currently doing physical therapy with a chiropractor, but it is not getting better. X-rays did not show any abnormalities. I am planning to get an MRI, but have to wait for another 2 months before I can afford it.

Is there anyone who was in a similar situation(Mild weakness/tingling starting after a specific event).

I hope it is just a bulged disc, and not ruptured. Does mild sciatia usually mean a bulged disc? Is the pain unbearable if the disc is ruptured?
