im new to this but I am not new the chronic pain that comes along some time after rods and fusion, mine was in 1970 I am 51 now and have had back pain for the last 23yrs the first time it was severe I was cleaning my floors and wham i threw my back out, was down for more than 6 weeks went to several doctors they just gave me mussel relaxers and said to rest, my son was six months old and all over the place. odd that being preg didnt seem to bother it much but all the lifting and bending that comes with mother hood must have been too much. i didnt realize it but i only have one disc that is doing all the work for the rest i dont know what its called its the lowest lumbar disc
that now has osteo arthritis, degenerative disc . i also had migraines for years until my hysterectomy in 2001 i was told that the only thing they could do to help my back pain would be to go in through my stomach and fuse my vertebrae
to my pelvis but that eventually this too would cause more degenerative joint d
in my hips . I have been getting cortisone epidurals for the last 3 yrs but now I am considering getting the radio frequency ablation any one out there have any info or experience with RFA I hear it may only last for 6mos
but at least that would be hopefully 6 mos with no pain maybe ?????
or aleast not as severe as now im am so tired of taking pain meds .
sorry to be so long
