I'll try to give the condensed version of things for this question. I had scoliosis surgery at age 14 with a Harrington Rod implant. Through years of pain and therapy and massage and exercise (I was a fitness instructor for many years) and every conservative treatment and procedure one could possibly think of, my surgeon and I decided I needed a 360 fusion from L-4 to S-1. Previous to the surgery I had all of my pain/numbness and problems on the left side only. Since the surgery I've had severe pain on the right lower side, hip and then the knee and below on the shin. I thought it was getting a little better for a bit but since starting physical therapy at week 4 it's been getting progressively worse. Monday will be 6 weeks and coincidentally when I am supposed to be back at work but this morning I couldn't even stand long enough to wait for coffee to brew. The pain on standing or sitting is easily a 10. I have an appointment with my surgeon Tuesday but thought I might post this to see what kind of feedback there might be. I think it's important to note the bone grafts were taken from the left.
since you posted with no replies. There is a section on this board http://www.scoliosis.org/forum/index.php for revision surgeries which may be of help to you. Good luck!
