Yesterday was my one year anniversary and I celebrated by visiting my lovely surgeon for follow up x-rays.
He's very happy with the way I've recovered, everything is still in the same position he left it and I am not encountering any problems. We asked each other lots of questions and then he said I don't need to see him again.
Feeling lucky!

Thanks! I feel great. I've felt 100% for the last six months but on Wednesday, he told me that often people think they're 100% then a year later, they say, "I'm so much better than a year ago!"
I can do almost anything, cutting my toenails is the exception, but doing them would make a great Funniest Home Video.

Thanks Charry. I've been very lucky and I wish I could spread some of it around. On the way home the other day, my partner said, "Well, we'll never win the lottery, we've already had all the luck we could expect for one lifetime!"
