I haae recently found out I have 2 broken rods in my back, from a spinal fusion in 2004, It has been 5 years, adn they want me to have a nother surgury, and add some screws adn fix the break. I went to a different doctor then the orignal one adn he said I should have it dont rather than leave it aloe, but I dont see or hear of any success stories, most one i read have had 3 or 4 surguries, I really need some input, because i have no where to turn and I have never been to this doctor before so I dont know if I should trust him..

Seems to me that scoliosis surgery has improved in leaps and bounds in recent years. If both your surgical opinions were to have a second surgery, then I would have it. Did they say if you are properly fused and that they would take the hardware out? Because once you're fused, the hardware has no use. Your fused spine is far stronger than the hardware.
