Upcoming scheduled surgeries include laminectomy and removal of synovial cyst located at left facet joint of L4-L5 (may require fusion); Right resection of A-C joint (left was done 12 years ago, by far the most painful of all my surgeries)

I fell asleep at around 10:30... I was so sleepy and tired. I woke up a couple of hours later to let my dogs out and went back to sleep. My next wake up call was at 2 am when the pain in my hip was so severe that I had no choice but to wake up. So here I sit at 4 in the morning, just typing away... Felling a bit sleepy, so I think I'll try again, IF the hip will let me that it

I just love that hang'n from a tree smiley. Hate that you guys are going through the no sleep cycle. Been there.
Most Meds for depression did that to me. Would get in bed and then be wide awake a few hours later. Lack of sleep was making me more depressed, so no meds for me.
My hips also wake me up from time to time especially if I try to sleep on the couch which is not firm. I used to get alot of hip pain at night after I would overdo in the daytime.
I started on 1,500 mg daily of vitamen D and weekly B12 shots it has really made a difference for me.
Jenny, Hope you are sound asleep while I am typing this.
Ewaight and trater, it is now 4 in the afternoon and the nap passed me by. perhaps tonight will be the night. i like the little smiley too!

I can give you my symapthies, I hate seeing all hours day and night, even with the aid of sleeping tablets and relaxation aids.
I just seem to be getting grumpier by the day, what with lack of sleep, having pain in places I didnt know you could have pain, money hassles, family issues....oh well, things can only get better!
I really hope tonight is the night that we all manage to get a good nights sleep, or even a good few hours sleep ifg 8hrs is too much to ask for lol.
Take care

Jenny,
It's not Sunday, you're dreaming that. It's already 2:30PM on Monday and I'm about to go get a late lunch! Care to join me?
So what's your pleasure, soba, sushi, curry, yaki niku, or American burgers and fries?

Yea! Sleep is over rated after all!
(hey C...it doesn't count when it's the middle of the day where you live!
)
I did manage to sleep this morning (Sat) from 8:30-11:15 so I can't say I haven't had ANY sleep, but I sure would like to get some shut eye now! It's kinda chilly (good sleeping weather), dark, quiet, and nothing to watch on tv, lol-perfect situation to sleep. Now, would someone kindly remind my nocturnal self in on this little factoid???

Hey Tanya,
Darn and here I thought I was a part of the no sleep gang. (stubbing my toe)I guess that's why my dog is looking at me like "let's go for a walk mom!"
It's great sleeping weather here too. We have a big typhoon playing around in our back yard and the surf is pounding, skies are dark and rainy and of course a bit of wind. Ahhhh.
Hope you got some sleep.

Well the best thing is the Internet. Without it I would feel seriously isolated. When I first got here we used to wait for the extra Sears and JC Penny's catalogs that were given away at the post office. Not no more!
Island life isn't too bad. I may be in Japan, but it's way more laid back than the mainland!!!
