Hope you are feeling better.

Hello all, still somewhat awake, and have been for months! Even after the Ambian, Restiril, and Tylenal PM! Is one night too hard to ask of a peacful, unpainful, night of sleep?
I guess it is a good day to snuggle up in bed and watch old movies, it is raining.... We really needed the rain, Iam just soooo happy I don't have to water today, that's all I seem to do lately.
I had a very upsetting evening, I went out to bottle feed my baby pygmy's that were born on Memorial day and the smallest one was dead. I can't believe how upset I was, Iam used to animals dying being an owner of so many but for some reason losing this little guy broke my heart. My husband wasn't home, he was at his 2nd job so I had to dispose of him myself and that was hard. It hadn't been raining yet the ground was so hard I couldn't dig a hole because of my upper body strength is nile and so that just made things worse.I know it sounds silly but it really was horrible for me not being able to dig that hole.Anyways my hubby got home and went out in the dark with a flashlight and took care of it for me.
Jenny, how are you feeling??? Getting better day by day I hope. You'll be up and around in no time....
Wishing a wonderful day to you all, Iam going to go find a old movie, lots of warm blankets, get my little snuggle dog and go to bed....

this thread has focused mostly on sleep, {or lack of} and animals. Here's a true animal story that might help put you to sleep.

years ago early in the morning while driving to work i spotted a dead cat that looked like mine on the side of the road. i pulled over and placed her in my car and we rode back to my home. i said some prayers and laid her to rest. When i returned from work i saw a cat at my door. low and behold it was my very own cat!!! I had buried the first cousin. Sometimes saying a prayer works.

we move around on topics and try to get to know each other alittle bit. being up all night can make one feel very alone and so knowing someone just a little bit can sure make that feel better..
we all live in some neat places, love animals and baseball and photography among other things!! what do you like to do?

I tried to lay down about 3 or 4 times now and when I do my neck aches soooo bad I can't just lay there... It hurts to be up moving also, so this will be short. I just don't know what to do when it gets this bad. If anyone has any ideas please tell... I took my nightly "cocktail" of oxy, soma and nuerotin and it doesn't touch it tonight
...sorry to complain but I know you guys understand and besides everyone here is asleep.
Hope everyone else is having a better night than I....
Hugs to all my somniacs

Hmm, I may need to join, but am I allowed?

Jenny I hope you've finally made it to sleep, I'm on the couch with the heating pad cranked up. Facing a long day, no make that week, at work....
Last week at work I had to participate in a "team-building" exercise, which consisted of a lot of walking. My dad was in town and I ended up doing some more walking on Thursday. Now I'm paying the price! I feel like I have a pulled muscle that starts at my waist and goes up all the way to the top of my head. For the last 3 nights, every time I moved in bed I woke up because of the pain. Thank god for heating pads and Valium. I even broke out the Norco. If this doesn't resolve soon I've got to make another doc appointment, I can barely move. Oh, my boss is gonna get it on Monday!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend, sorry to dump on everyone..

Hi All my spiney friends,
I did something stupid last night at about 7:30 PM my time. The phone rang and I went to get it and tripped and hurt my left foot. Ended up in the ER. My left foot is sprained and have to keep it elevated and wear an ace bandage for a week. But the foot I hurt is my foot that has RSD in it. Because of the sensitivity issue that comes with RSD I am dying having this ace bandage touch my foot. And I can't ice my foot because ice makes RSD worse. I am sorry to be complaining guys, but thanks for listening. Spiney
to all of you.

Well, I slept last night! I think the thing that helped is all the walking I did yesterday in the heat (well, hot for Washington that is!). Going to go do it again, but darn, it's not even warm outside today... well off for my walk. Sleep well all!

Ugh, you know that time when you are laying there, and you are dozing in a out of consciousness, and you are just about ready to hit dreamland? Well, my body threw me a curve ball, and suddenly I had to peeeee.
But, the trip to the bathroom was painful because I somehow ended up on my back (doesn't work well for me yet), then to top it all off my daughter was in the bathroom... but I knock, because there is no way I can make it down the stairs walking as though one leg is a foot shorter than the other.... she tried to get out fast, but by the time I finally got back to bed the ole sleep train left the station....
I am hoping the train is stopping my way once again tonight, I will check the schedule in a bit.

I have tried spinal shots,PT, didn't help me.Medications for chronic pain: hydromorphone, Soma, Neurotin, (next step is a pain pump)I have bone spurring,DDD,spinal stenosis, ossification,at the 4-5 fusion there is almost complete loss of CSF.At T7-8 level I have protrusion that indents the thecal sac.New disc extrusion at c3-4 and bone spur c5-c6 fusion sight that is pushing on spinal cord and nerve roots.I have had to quit work, I loved my job....
i am at a standstill with the wedding right now.. i don't know when i will feel better so i have no idea when to plan the wedding..
can't even give my mom a date!! so...maybe it is a sign to maybe not get married???
oh heck, i am up at one end and down on another..
i wish i could get this stomach problem fixed, then i could plan and get going with my life..
Jeanette, be so very careful around the house, a WEEDEATER!!!!
now girlfriend, i think you know better than that!! LOL! oh well, get some rest, put some heat or ice on it..
Jay and Whyme, you two..
we seem to be just really not taking care of ourselves. baseball, you tripped!! so let's be careful of our bodies.
aware of what is around us!! we are really beating ourselves up! could this mean something else?? hugssssss to you all,

Isn't that so frustrating Jeanette? My kids watch and when I can't take it anymore, fire up the lawn mower and mow the grass they hide the weed whacker. Actually they grab it and do it for me! Everybody here at home is saving me from myself
I haven't had sleep problems for a while now, unless you count sitting down on the couch and passing out within 10 minutes a problem. Heh. You all have my sympathies for sure! In fact, I actually slept through the night last night! That pulled muscle didn't wake me up once. Gotta love Valium, morphine and my TENS. I need two of these things!
I hope everyone is finally able to get some sleep tonight! Whyme, don't forget to check the "B" line
Jay

Jenny, are you not feeling better yet???I would have thought you'd be feeling alot better by now.Are there other stomach problems going on too??? We need to get you back on the wedding planning mode, I think you were way too excited about getting married to say all this is a sign not to, you'll get back to it again, just hard to plan when your not feeling well...Besides the dress, cabin etc., way too beautiful to pass that all up, right???
Okay, I'll stay away from the weed whacker for awhile but, it was fun while it lasted.

Jenny you have my full sympathies, my brother had to deal with gallbladder issues and I know how miserable he was sometimes. I hope your pancreas decides to play nice soon so you can take care of business.
I see a lot of little red dots near everyone's name, I trust everyone is sleeping well. Sweet dreams my friends!
Spiney hugs

Hi All
It is 4:16 AM my time and I can't find a comfortable spot to sleep either. I sympathize with you Jeanette. I hope you finally found that comfortable spot to sleep. Jenny I wish your pancreaitis would leave so you feel better and can get your business taken care of that needs to be done with your stomach.
to all my spiney friends. I hope you all have a nice day. Jeanette and everyone else we do need to take care of our bodies better. I know I tend to do to much and my body pays for it. For us living in pain I have come to a conclusion it is a balacing act for us all each day.
Kate
Jenny, you are such an inspiration, to be ALWAYS "up" and supportive, even when talking about current problems you are having!
I salute you, along with everyone else, who has made it through another day, and another (long) night!

Jenny is an inspiration to everyone, she was gone while having surgery and I felt very lost and lonely without her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just hope Jenny you could feel alittle better...
Well, I ended up with about 4 hours of sleep, yuk! But, better than nothing I guess.
Yes, I put away the weed whacker for now. I did mow the lawn yesterday though, RIDING lawn mower and my son emptied the bags for me so it was not such a rough day...I just love working out doors and can't stop, need to find how to do things easier though... After being in such pain the other night my kids decided to help alittle more which is great!!!
Anyone going to do anything fun and exciting for the 4th of July weekend???Any big camping trips planned, fire works, BBQ's ?????????
Hope everyone has an awesome day...
