I had my 1st injection today, and as soon as I walked out of the day surgery place, and turned my phone back on - I was flooded w/ messages wishing me well, and offering to help me out with anything that I needed (today and it's been ongoing). I didn't need anything today, as Hubby and I just layed low and relaxed - but it was nice to know that if I had needed anything that I had quiet a few people who would be right there for me. This is all new for me, as Im the "black sheep" of my family. No idea why really, Im the only kid who has a steady job (and has had the same one for years), a happy and drama free marriage, is doing well financially, and collerabtes well with my Husband if/when any sort of issue does come up. My oldest sis is divorced from a drug addict, feels that the world owes her and is always calling my parents to give her $$, or to buy her things. The older sis (one above from me) is an ER nurse who has high anxety and depression issues. She is never happy with what she has, and has not been in any sort of relationship (or even has any close friends to my knowledge) for many years. She can be very controlling, and will onyl travel if with my parents (and often stays at their house), even though she has her own apartment (but its in one of my parents rentals about 10 minutes away from them). And the youngest is married ( technically) as she runs to "Daddy" with all of her worries, and bypasses the Hubsand at all times. She berates him, and he has become a functioning alcoholic. They have a set of twins who were born at 25 weeks, and still suffer from some developmental issues. So, I am glad that between my Hubby and my friends - I have a wonderful support group that has been there for me all along!
