Returning to work?

I have an ESI (L5-S1) scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday. They are also going to do a partial nerve block. The receptionist told me I'd have to be a couch potato for 24 hrs. Does that mean no work Wednesday? Is this typical?

Hi

After many of my injections I always was able to work.
The day of the injection I would be a couch potato and keep ice on the injection site The next day it was off to work for me. Talk to your doctor. With some injections I would return to work the day of the injections and with others he wanted me to lay around to keep the medication in the area he injected. Best to ask your doctor
