I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was in high school, and by that point I was done growing and there wasn't anything that could be done about my curve. I have a 37 degree curve in the thoracic area, and it doesn't require surgery.
However, I am constantly in pain. I always feel stiff, out of alignment, and just off. I can't explain it, but I can absolutely FEEL my curve and I feel like I am off center. My neck always hurts, I get back pain when I stand for too long (15 mins or longer) and I just don't know what to do.
I've tried physical therapy briefly and it hasn't really helped. I also saw a chiropractor for a few months, and It made me feel worse, and I think that caused permanent damage.
I really don't know what to do. I'm only 18, but I feel like I'm 80. I imagine it will only feel worse as I get older. I'll take any advice or suggestions you can offer.
Thank you so much for reading this,
-Rosie
You might want to see a pain Dr to see if they can help.

Thanks for the reply, Jim.
That option is always on the table, I just really don't want to take medication if I can do without it.
This is really useful information you have given about the therapy. Thanks for sharing your views. This is really going to help me
Pain doctors also do injections/blocks and spinal cord stimulators. You can tell them you do not want medication and see if there is something else that might help.

I am not a doctor, my opinions are not meant to be medical advice. Just opinions from my personal experiences dealing with multiple spinal issues.
My back pain does not sound as bad as yours, but I have sciatica problems. I started using alternative medicine because the doctors would just prescribe me narcotics and muscle relaxers and I was always in a fog. I started using herbal remedies and found this all natural pain relief patch. It has really helped me. I found it online, it is called Imbue pain relief patch. You should check it out, maybe it will help you too!
5 years ago, I had a laminectomy to releive pressure on my nerves in the spinal column. It did not help. 1 year ago, I had l-3 and L4 fused and bone spurs removed. I still have continued pain, numbness and burning in my legs. Is there anyone out there with any recommendations? What are thoughts on laser spine surgery? I live in Oregon..
I very much agree to this post.
very interesting ..
