Botox for Post op Cervical Spine pain-5 levels

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with botox injections at the cervical spine. I rec'd 5 plates, a stabilizer bar in 2008. I am desperate for pain relief as I stopped all narcs on february 14. I was thinking maybe botox is my answer. Any advice appreciated greatly. This area involves C2-C7 with demise at T1-T3.

Stay strong

If you can continue off narcotics, I would. I know some people can't funtion with life without them, but if you have "broke" the cycle, I'd try to give it alittle more time to see if you can make it without them. But hey, if you need them to continue everyday life... isn't that what they were designed for?

I conned my sister into giving me botox in January. I love it... of course, it was in my forehead... not sure how it would be for the cervical spine, but if it is available and relatively safe, I say go for it. Post pone narcotics as long as possible.

33yo mom of two. My surgical history...preadolescence scoliosis, kyphosis, and a hot mess.... 5 spine surgeries and lots of items added I wasn't born with (titanium, peek, surgical steel). Guess cremation is out. TSA loves me.

today is Day 20 of all opiates

methadone as the worst drug that was ever made. I have been on every single pain medication made in the US. the last drug prescribed was the .methadone. all I can say is please pleasnever allow a pain specialist for a doctor prescribe this drug. withdraw from this drive is unlike any other narcotic in last much longer. I will continue to research the boat ox. I have 5 plates in a stabilizer bar from c2 through c7. for the pain I am taking ibuprofen and Tylenol alternating. it is so hard right now but I will never ever take another opiate.

Sorry

Sorry you are struggling, I've never taken methadone so I have no experience. Could your primary doctor not recommend a withdrawl program or something to help you? Have you asked?
