New pain - 6 Months after TLIF - CT Scan Question?

Hi Folks

So I have new pain 5-6 months after and it's significant.

A new lumbar MRI showed nothing.

It's now between SIJD and questioning the Fusion's progress.

Has anybody had this happen, and am I correct in thinking the only way to confirm the integrity of the fusion, with any real accuracy, is via a CT scan? (vs just an MRI)

I find it conflicting that doctors explain their treatments as 'Medicine is an -art- as well and a science'...

...but that explanation is not available to us when we tell them it hurts more and we are uncomfortable with pain. Not on MRI or screen, hello patient scrutiny... ugh.

Not a two way street I guess?

Fusion and CT

My neurosurgeon recommended a CT at 6 months to assess fusion. He said he could see quite a bit of bone in the cages and that I was certain to fuse. I had asked him for the best test to assess the success of the revision and CT was what he recommended.
