I did a search for this surgery and didn't find anything. All this time I was saying I was getting a MIS TLIF but it turns out my surgeon is calling the surgery TRANSVERSE not transforaminal. Is it the same thing? He showed me 3 times on a plastic spine that he is going to come in from the back, but will actually be going at the spine sideways. Can anyone clear up the terminology?
